I am always taking shots of the pretty sights of Ottawa, thought I would take a few of the not so pretty things. This is the power station on Main Street, not pretty but necessary I guess. Posted by Picasa
I went to visit my friend Jane after my trip to the Riverside hospital last week and forgot how pretty her little cat Peaches is. I had a little lovefest with her, Jane says shed is very old. Posted by Picasa
Last week there was a big protest on Parliament Hill by the farmers of Eastern Ontario. May May and I met this mom and her two daughters and stayed and talked with them for quite some time, they are from the Cobden area. Hope things work out for what the farmers are asking for. Posted by Picasa

May May going for a walk on a rainy day

This is a video I took of May May, she is in her yellow rain coat and just enjoying being outside. I don't know if on this blog you can play video but his is a short video. I have a new camera and still not certain on how to use everything yet. I lost or had stolen a small bag I kept my digital camera, my regular camera and my prescription sunglasses in and it can't be found anywhere. Being outside in the nicer weather I found I could not be without my digital camera. This time I got a nice strong carrying case to hang around my neck so hopefully nothing drastic will happen again. I was just going to start taking black and white photos with the other one but now that is out. I found that in the winter I couldn't take many pictures, it was cold and May May was usually on my lap everything was just awkward. Hopefully I will stay resonable well and get lots of pictures taken this spring. Posted by Picasa

May May is ready!

Well spring is sorta here and May May is out and about again, here she is at the park looking for her boyfriends. My friend Jeanne had taken this picture and added the quote to it. We are glad its getting nicer out there, it was a very long winter. I haven't been well but am feeling a bit better so hopefully its back to blogging. Posted by Picasa

This one was weird, I think it is of a nude woman but looks like it has a beaver's head! Posted by Picasa

Some eskimos, or the proper word, Inuit. Posted by Picasa
This next bunch of sculptures is taken at Confederation Park. It was very cold but very nice today, even May May enjoyed walking around on the snow and ice. Posted by Picasa
Another small sculpture in front of the NCC Posted by Picasa
Winterlude is now on and all the ice sculptures are done. The weather has just turned cold in the last few days so we are lucky that so many of the sculptures survived. Most of them I must admit I can't figure out what they represent but they are pretty none the less. This one was taken in front of the National Capital Commission across from Parliament Hill. Posted by Picasa

May May wants a doughnut

Poor May May is watching me eat a doughnut, she is pleading with her eyes for one but it is a chocolate dipped donut and I really shouldn't give her one, besides she already had a treat and will get another one at the drug store, no wonder she is getting a bit "fluffy"! Yesterday when we were out was like a beautiful spring day and today was freezing cold. Good thing I put on her heavy coat and her hat. I love this little hat on her. Posted by Picasa
One of the squirrels up at Parliament Hill. Must adjust the light I guess. The squirrels there are so friendly the guy that looks after the cats puts a peanut in his ear and the squirrels come and take it out. Posted by Picasa
This is May May waiting for Spring to come. She just lies there with a far away look on her face thinking about the park and all her dog friends she doesn't see anymore. Poor May May. Posted by Picasa
