Holly stops to talk to Cokette and May May every time she comes to the park. I hadn't seen her in a bit, glad she came by today.
May May, Cokette and Ebony getting treats off Mike again. He is the most watched for person in the park. Cokette is looking so good, her fur is growing back in so nicely.

Well here is the holding pen for the RCMP horses up near the cats on Parliament Hill. Read earlier this summer that they would be boarded there but have yet to see one there. I noticed the door was ajar so maybe they ran away. Would love to see them running down the corridors of Parliament.

One of the cats at Parliament Hill giving May May the evil eye wondering why the heck she was up there on her turf.

This squirrel was happy, there was a guy up visiting the cats at Parliament Hill and he brought up a bag of peanuts, earlier he had scooted off with two in his mouth. They are awfully busy right now getting ready for winter.

This is Jean, we talk to her dowtown all the time. Here she is on Parliament Hill taking a rest. It was a hot and humid day today. See you soon Jean.

This is Rowan, we met him on Elgin Street. He came over to pet May May because he and his mom were missing their dogs at home. Hope he has a great time while he is in Ottawa. Rowan, do you remember how old the city of Ottawa is?
This is the statue near the National Arts Centre, the second one has some people being silly on it. Glad they are having fun.

Well here I am with two really big dogs who share a home together. The one I am petting is Ricky and he was the most loveable dog I wanted to take him home. Now can you just see me trying to walk down Bank Street with Ricky and May May! I could put the chair on manual and Ricky could pull me in case my batteries ran out.

Ben's mom was having a garage sale so I thought I would join her. I made $10. I spent $30!

A new picture of the lovely Simon.

Here are some pictures of a boat coming down the Rideau Canal. If you notice the NCC worker he still opens the gates the way it was done when it was first built, by hard work. No modernization here. It is just so lovely down behind Parliament Hill.
Silly dogs having fun playing in the park.

A black squirrel on the bicycle path behind the Parliament buildings. He is very busy preparing for the winter.

This is the lovely Belle, a 13 year old cat. She has the most beautiful green eyes and is so gentle. Her owner is just starting to get her socialized because she is moving to Australia and will be placed in a special area of the plane just for animals away from her mom. Sure hope she doesn't get traumitzed that is a long flight. Good luck in Australia and you can invite me a visit anytime. Hope you continue to read my blog when you move.

This is a sample of the wheelchair bags I make for sale.

Went with a friend to sit in the sun on the patio at Palermo when Sarah came and sat at the next table. May May was so excited, all she could think of was bacon, but sadly Sarah doesn't provide bacon anymore but her friend gave her a little piece of meat. Dissapointed May May sat staring at them until I said it was time to go. We left by the exit facin Bank Street but walked up towards Metcalfe St. May May figured if she just went in the other door, they would think she just got there and give her more but alas her luck had run out. Poor starving May May.

Here is another dauchshound and he is only a couple of months old, his name is Ace. Ace enjoyed meetig the new dogs but needed the security of his owner.
I just realized I posted the same picture twice. Ah, the joys of aging.
Well we seen this dog walking in the park and from afar he sure looked like a dauchshound but as he got closer we had doubts. He finally reached us and as May May was checking him out we talked to his owner. Turns out he is a mix but you will never believe what he is mixed with. A GERMAN SHEPARD!! Are you picturing it yet?

A duck getting some sunshine on a beautiful day.

When I went to the Rehab Centre last week I took these pictures of canoes. There must have been some kind of meeting because there were so many of them. It was such a beautiful day for the event.

Well I have forgotten this dogs name but he wouldn't stay still long enough to have his picture taken so he had to picked up. Silly dogs!

What a beautiful dog! This is Achilles who is a bull masticf and is 14 months old. I spent a fair amount of time with him on the Sparks Street Mall last week. Achilles got so comfortable with me that he decided he wanted to sit on my knee. He put his four paws on my foot rests and then tried to sit on my lap, I could feel my wheel chair falling forward, Yikes! May May was not impressed!

This was taken in 1993 when I moved back here from Walkerton. I had just recovered from extensive surgery.

A picture of me around 1983. My girlfriend had come from Kirkland Lake for a visit so I took her to the mill for supper so that we would be served by handsome men in lovely suits.

A New Pomeranian in the Park

This is Rolfino, he is four months old and is from Mexico. He is a friend of Simon's. We hope he comes often to play with the other poms that gather at Dundonald Park. That is quite a group we are getting. Welcome Rolfino!

this is the latest in kitten carriages. Yes they are specifically made for pets. Tiger is a cutie and loves to go for walks in his stroller.

Tjj

This is Caramel one of the little dogs that gather at the park.

May May met up with one of her favourite types of people again. A chef!! The young lad beside her will bring up your meal if you order it. Looks like I am off to being the best photographer in the world, I got my own finger in the shot. Geesh!!

Maggie was so curious about the puppies until Linda brought one up close for her to see and then she started to back off. One day I will have to bring them over to spend a longer period of time to see how she reacts to them. May May is definately not impressed when they come over for a visit. My desk looks pretty messy should clean it up one of these days.zzfnz

These are the two little puppies from next door, they have grown quite a bit.

Here is my wonderful housekeeper Linda, she is making up a few small Sheperds Pie so that I can freeze them. May May is boring a hole in her back thinking she will get some hamburger just to take off.

Here I am at the market. Picked up one of the dolls they had for sale just to add some detail. Got my veggies today and had them for supper. Nothing better than fresh carrots and new potatoes boiled up with a bit of butter. May May was not thrilled that I went out without her so as soon as I got home I took her out for a walk. It was such a beautiful day I didn't want to come in at all.

My friend Jeanne at the market.

The clouds were beautiful today
