A peaceful view of the river where I stopped for a few minutes on my journey over to the rehab centre. Hard to believe that just a block away there are high rises and a busy, busy street.

This is a memorial plaque to all the war veterens, it is located in a park where the Rideau Veterens home used to be, now caled Freedom Private. The Rideau Veterans home was built in 1946 and was meant to be a short term stay facility where veterans would undergo rehab treatment in order to integrate into the community. It turned into a home where the vets lived for many years. It closed in 1995 and this park was created and dedicated to all Canadian Vets. The tree is a 300 year old Burr Oak. Stones from the home's fireplace were used to create the base that holds the panel. Take a minute to think of all the vets.

This is the entrance way to get to the other side of Pretoria Bridge.

These beauties were up on Parliament Hill attracting a lot of attention. They are show dogs and are going in a show soon. One of their areas is agility, where they jump over things and go under things. I can just imagine May May doing that, she would say come over and pick me up. Good luck in your show guys!

This cutie was up on Parliament Hill checking every thing out. We had a hard time getting both her and May May to look at the camera at the same time.

Beautiful lilacs on Parliament Hill. I just love the aroma, they are so relaxing and great to have in your bedroom to help you get to sleep.

These young people were in the park after the Senators game and they hated the noise the cars were making as much as I did. They seemed like a great bunch of kids. Notice May May went to the only boy in the group! The girl with the hat sure has a great sense of style and don't let the girl in the red sweater fool you, she looks 14 but is actually 25 and is hiding a beer. Thats a good idea becuse the cops have been around quite a bit lately. Hope you had a great day guys.

While going down Bank Street this beautiful poodle was tied to a pole in the sun. The guy in the wheelchair that hangs out at that corner was very concerned for him, he said he was there for quite some time. I left a dish of water and promished him if he was still there when I came back I would call the police. When I returned his mistress was with him, she had been shopping in at Howard's Jewellery.

See humans are not the only ones hooked on Tim Horton's. Here Scooter finally got his caffiene fix, if Bob is slow giving it to him he can put on quite a show of whining in order to get his coffee. I will put water down for May May but Scooter will have none of that. He is quite the dog.

May May and I went to a sale called "Diva on a dollar" at the Bronson Centre, this was one of the ladies helping out there.

I think these girls are from John Young School in Glen Cairn, they were up touring the hill and stopped to pet May May. My two girls attended John Young when it was first built, that was a very long time ago.

This girl was finishing up one of her reports for university at the internet cafe. She is heading off to Africa. This girl has been all over the world and speaks multiple languages.

Crazy Maggie had to get in on the haircut, don't know what was going on but she got on the table and started rolling in May May's fur that was on the table. It was really funny to see her.

May May's finished do! Great job Jeanne!

Here is Jean working hard at trying to cut May May's fur, her undercoat was just like a brillo pad, but she finally got through it.

Had forgotten to post this earlier. Alexander had come over for my birthday and we went out for supper and I gots lots of hugs. He is due for another visit but he sure is hard to get hold of these days.

May May is a thief!!!!!!!!!! I went to the grocery store the other night to get 3 pieces of sliced roast beef to go with my salad I was having for supper. When I got home I had to go to the bathroom really badly and just dropped the bag and hurried to the bathroom. When I got back I looked over at the couch and this is what I saw. May May had gotten into the bag, stole the meat and ate all of it except for this little bit. What a girl, hope she enjoyed it - the look on her face says she did.

These girls were just outside the craft sale and helped me get the water out of the bag at the back of my wheelchair for May May. It was very warm inside and she got very, very thirsty.

This was taken at the "Not your grandmother's craft sale" on Sat. at the Jack Purcell building if you have never been to it you will really like it, they have very different things there. The sisters are from Montreal and are selling jewellery and are thinking of going into dog jewellery, May May had a necklace on but it got lost in all her fur. The girl on the right has a dog called Mr. Two sorta after Mr. T because she puts lots ofbling on him. Don't forget to let me know when you have that all set up I would love to see what you do.

A beautiful long haired dachshound, I think his name is George. What a cutie!
